Our all time favourites belowImagine hearing the Gauchos chase the cattle back to the ranch. The condors flying high above you. And seeing the Andes mountain range tops appear right before your eyes while driving a horse in the middle of nowhere. One of the most beautiful day-trips on our journey around the world. While staying in Bodega Atamisque in Tupungato, we booked this horseback riding experience of a lifetime.
The relaxed surfers vibe in the small villages of Santa Teresa/ Playa Hermosa has captured our hearts. It's shabby chic in the most literal sense of the word. Pura Vida!
They call it the most beautiful island in the world. And we agree. I have never seen so many shades of blue as in the lagoon of Bora Bora. It is the only place on earth I really felt on the "other" side of the world.
The Sultante of Oman was already a huge pleasant surprise for us. We loved the authenticity of the country and the people. The most beautiful spot during our trip was by far the Al Hajar mountain range.
A very special moment captured when our youngest son received a monk blessing at the largest temple complex in the world, Angkor Wat.
Actually it's the Lapland part of Finland we loved. Unfortunately we didn't get to see the Aurora Boralis, so another good reason to go back to this magical place on earth. The place where Santa lives.
Land of white beaches, Maya cities, the sombreros, taco's and Mariachies. What's not to love about Mexico? Tulum, a small town that used to be only for backpackers quite some years ago is now a low key chique destination. Hopefully it won't grow to be like sister towns Playa del Carmen or Cancun.
The city that never sleeps, NYC! There is so much to do in this city with (and of course without) kids. Our kids were still young when we took them for the first time, but they loved it! And I can't wait to take them again as teenagers.
The driest desert on earth, the Atacama desert, has so much to offer for both kids and adults. Stargazing, sand boarding, mountain biking through the desert, plunging into the hot springs or just enjoying the beautiful scenery around you are just a few things you can do around here. We also visited the Tatio Geysers. Waking up at 4 am for a 2 hour drive to be there at sunrise, was definitely worth the shortage of zzzz's.
France, is our favourite country in the world! It has everything to offer. Good food, history, beaches, mountains, lakes, too much to mention. We roam the world but keep going back to Ramatuelle/ St. Tropez, it feels like coming home.
We've only experienced this wonderful town on South Island during summer. But it was already so much fun! Would love to return for winter season one day.
Da Nang in itself is not so special, Hoi An is much more beautiful with such a rich history. But the Intercontinental Da Nang was one of the favourite hotels the kids visited EVER. And we didn't mind staying there either.
